One of Us is Lying by Karen M. McManus is a thrilling read once the action picks up, which it doesn’t take long to. I couldn’t put the book down. Case in point, I usually write about books I’m currently reading through, but I read this book in about 3 days, and I’m a slow reader.
There were a few side plots that I didn’t care for. Plus the motivation of the person behind the main mystery is a little rough when compared to the current cultural discussion. I won’t go into greater detail then that, to avoid spoilers since this is a newer book; but it definitely makes you think.
Beyond those few cons, this is really a good book. One of Us is Lying is currently sitting in my top 4 books I’ve read this year.
