Thought of the Day: Friends Part II

Dogs! Memes!

Thought of the Day 5/26 – Accidentally Productive

Days after an extended weekend are rough. I’m usually quite alive and animated in the mornings, but today was quite the opposite. Low motivations abound today, so getting a blog post out is quite a good accomplishment for today. I guess the Thought of the Day¬†would be to persevere past yourself. No matter how much obstacles you put up against yourself, fight past the mental wall and go head strong to the finish line. (This thought might actually prompt another blog post since now my gears are turning…so accidentally productive).

Side Thought: House of Heroes The End is Not the End is a great album, very underrated. Everybody should stop what the are doing and listen right now….right now.

Thought of the Day 1/19: Creativity

The killer of creativity: a Production mindset. I want to accomplish a lot this year and some of what I want to accomplish takes creativity. But usually creativity is an animal that needs space, if you let it run wild you will get a result that shatters your expectations. For me I have to just let my mind think, ponder, explore and that is when creativity strikes. When I’m listening to music, taking in nature, exploring a park or concrete jungle, or reading, my creativity will just kindle inside. When my mind is unshackled from schedules and due dates, and I can just create because I’m inspired. So, I’ve realized this, I need to take purposeful time out to just breath; not do anything but think and ponder on whatever I want.

I think we can all use a little break in our day to just do nothing but breath.

Thought of the Day: Christmas

Merry Christmas everybody!!!! This is a great day to spend with family and friends and to be thankful for all the blessings in your life. I’m thankful for a great wife, a loving family, fun and thoughtful friends. I love my youth group and all the teens that has been in it. And most of all I am thankful for a Savior that came to this earth to save us from our sins and mistakes.  He lived with us and stood up against the same temptations that we fall victim to. And on this day so many years ago he was born. This child was born with an epic and purposeful life ahead of him. And today I am so glad he saved my life in many ways and has given my life new purpose and mission.

Thought of the Day 12/23

God is good no matter what happens to you. It might sound naive, blind and cliche but at the end of the day I’m glad my back is covered by the person who made the heavens and the earth. It is written that “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose”. So no matter what happens in your day, what internal and external forces might do, God supersedes them and can turn any tragedy into a story of triumph. Jesus is my hope not because my life will be easy but with him all things are possible.

Also small puppies are really fun to play with and super cute!! Seriously they are, I dare you to play with one and still be mad afterwards. Its just not possible, unless they pee…on you…..

And with that goodnight world.

Thought of the Day 12/21

Why do non-Christians only know what God hates (sin) instead of how he showed his love (Jesus) for those who sin (everybody)?

Why do Christians insist on sharing the Bad News instead of the Good News (Gospel)?

Why are Christians (Generalizing here) so interested in policing other’s purity and holiness instead of their own?

Thoughts of the day (particularly this morning).
